The UPM Graduate Academic Robe is provided to the Undergraduates (Bachelor and Diploma) and Postgraduates (Master and PhD) during the UPM Convocation Ceremony . All UPM graduates are allowed to rent or purchase the academic robe based on the price rate that has been set and the arrangement must be done  with the Academic Governance Division.

 

Below are the purchase rate and rental deposit charges for the academic robe by category of studies.

1. For the academic robe rental, deposit of RM50.00 must be paid by the applicant at the Bursar Counter. The deposit will not be returned to the applicant and will be debited into the UPM Bursar account.

 

2. The applicant must return the academic robe that is rented in good condition, with complete set and accordance to the prescribed period.

 

3. Cost of the purchase price of the academic robe will be charged if the rental academic robe is lost or damaged.

 

4. Payment of the academic robe (based on the price rate) must be paid by the applicant to the UPM Bursar, while the deposit of RM50.00 will not be charged to the applicant who wants to purchase the academic robe.

 

5. Any alteration on the academic robe or to the other parts on the academic robe are not allowed.

 

6. The academic robe is only allowed to be used as stated in the application.

 

7. The duration of the rental are subject to the approval by the Universiti Putra Malaysia.

 

8. The Universiti Putra Malaysia has the right to reject any application which is necessary.

 

9. The applicant must ensure he/she paid full payment and has filled in the academic robe rental form at the Admission Division and Academic Governance Division Office, Level 1, Putra Chancellory Building.
