Read@UNI Sharing Session : Let’s Read

 

Division of Admission and Division of Academic Governance have held Read@UNI Sharing Session : Let’s Read since 2019 where every two (2) weeks, the participants who have been selected to make a presentation will share the reading materials to all staff of the division. Until September 2022, this sharing session has been held 43 times. The objectives of this sharing session, among others, are as follows:

• to support the Read@Uni Programme organized by UPM;
• to increase awareness about the importance of reading among staff;
• to foster an interest in reading among staff;
• to increase the number of reading materials or books read by staff; and
• to encourage lifelong learning and love of knowledge.

 

Accordingly, Let’s Read Corner has also been developed in the Division of Admission and Division of Academic Governance to provide reading corner facilities for staff and customers, so that the waiting time can be filled with reading activities. In addition, the Let’s Read Corner was also developed as a space for the participant of the Read@UNI Sharing Session : Let’s Read to make presentations to the staff of the division.

As a result of discussion with all the committee members involved, Let’s Read Corner has been improved to be more cheerful and beautiful. The decoration theme chosen is iqra’ which is mentioned in surah Al-‘Alaq meaning ‘read’, in accordance with reading corner developed to foster an interest in reading and support lifelong learning
