MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT USE TRAINING PROGRAMS

SERDANG, Friday, August 23. - The Division of Admission and the Division of Academic Governance has held a series of Maintenance Equipment Use Training Programs in 2 Lecture Hall Zone beginning August 16, 2019 at the E Academic Complex (KAE) and at the B Zone Lecture Hall (Cabin) on August 23, 2019. The activity will continue followed by the Zone A Lecture Hall on August 30, 2019 and finally at the Central Academic Lecture Hall (DKAP) on September 6, 2019.

This activity aimed at providing knowledge of equipment usage and how to conserve, maintain, operate and regulate building equipment, facilities, equipment, building services and its environment to meet current standards, maintain utilities and facility and safe to use. The Admissions and Academic Governance Division has five lecture zones with a total of 84 classrooms to be managed.

Apart from these Equipment Maintenance Training activities, in addition is the “Gotong-Royong” activities which are carried out almost every year and through these activities, it has been able to benefit the existing staff and assets. It is one of the most important steps to brighten up the campus area through “Gotong-Royong” activities in order to clean up the Lecture Hall Zone area and its surrounding.

The wisdom of this activity was to promote 'togetherness' in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of the lecture hall users as well as acquiring knowledge and handling maintenance equipment. It can also save on spending and increase productivity.

Also present at the event were almost all staff and officers. Cleaning works include lawn mowing and fencing, garbage disposal, drain and field cleanings in surrounding areas.

Through these activities, it is hoped to build friendships between the Admissions and Academic Governance Division and maintain excellence. Just as emphasizing the concept of goodwill as a pillar of UPM excellence and it will be an ongoing effort to ensure that UPM staff fully understand the philosophy of ‘ihsan’ that will and appreciate their life and daily routines,"
