AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION STUDENT CLASSES AT E ACADEMIC COMPLEX (KAE) DURING MCO

The Centre of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science has accepted a total of 794 students, and they started reporting as new students starting 2-3 August 2020. The first semester 2020/2021 started on 3 August 2020 and face-to-face lectures which were supposed to start on 10 August 2020 were postponed for two weeks until 23 August 2020. On 24 August 2020 face-to-face lectures starts. In line with the SOP set by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), several things that are necessary for the SOP have been implemented.

Since the Movement Control Order (PKP) effective March 18, 2020 followed by the phases of the Conditional Movement Control Order (PKPB) and the Restoration Movement Control Order (PKPP) continued until 31 December 2020, among those affected in the social, economic and norm context life is a group of students.

When the COVID-19 outbreak occurs, class and lecture sessions cannot be conducted as usual. However, the teaching and learning process continues, and the Admissions Division has ensured that safety and prevention measures are taken during the face-to-face Teaching and Learning (TnL) sessions. Among the steps are:

  1. Ensure social distancing is observed in the learning space by ensuring that there is empty space (i.e. distance of at least one (1) meter) between chairs, desks and student positions while in the lecture room or classroom in line with the size of the room;
  2. Minimize and control the number of students in the learning space at a time;

iii.    Ensure a list of usernames that use lecture room facilities is provided;

  1. Ensure that no group activities are not monitored by the teaching staff;
  2. Ensure that hygiene is given priority in the learning space by providing hand sanitation to students and staff and encouraging the use of face masks;
  3. Establish an entrance to the Lecture Room of Academic Complex E as a control over students for screening and monitoring purposes.
