ACADEMIC FAMILY DAY 2022 & EKSA LAUNCHING CEREMONY

Malacca - The Admissions Division and Academic Governance Division UPM has organised the Academic Family Day 2022 & EKSA Launching Ceremony. The program was held for two days from 6 to 7 July 2022 and was held at Qashrina Chalet, Tanjung Kling, Melaka. The objective of this programme is to strengthen the relationship between the staff and family members of the Admission Division and Academic Governance Division of UPM. The programme was officiated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic and International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail. According to him, the programme was very well conducted and should be continued to strengthen the relationship between the staff thus inculcating the spirit of belonging among the staff. Various programmes were carried out throughout the programme. Among the fillings of the program are telematch, explorace (treasure hunt), and dinner. The programme was welcomed by all staff and a diverse of temperament were recorded. The program also concludes with the presentation of prizes to all winners.

At the same time, he also officiated the EKSA Launching Ceremony for the Admissions and Academic Governance Division in conjunction with the Quality-of-Service Innovation Day 2022. The objective of the launch is to aim for EKSA as a rebranding initiative of the Public Sector 5S Practices taking into account the need to highlight a quality and conducive workplace environment to be more relevant to public sector departments/agencies in Malaysia. EKSA is an abbreviation of its original word, Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem. It was introduced from January 2014. This rebranding exercise is thought to be appropriate and in line with the current changes and requirements to enhance the performance and competitiveness of the organisation as well as to invigorate the creative and innovative culture among public sector departments/agencies.

 

According to him, EKSA is very important in producing an institution or organization that is competitive and enhances performance as well as invigorating a creative and innovative culture among public sector departments/agencies thus strengthening the branding of an institution. “EKSA is very important for an institution and organisation as it will have a significant impact on the employee environment and take into account the need to highlight a quality and conducive workplace environment to be more relevant to public sector departments/agencies in Malaysia.”
